The Benson & Clegg Summer Party
On Thursday 18thJuly 2019, we officially celebrated the opening of our newly refurbished retail store and tailoring lounge with the Benson & Clegg Summer Party in partnership with Dukes Hotel, Berry Bros. & Rudd, Paxton & Whitfield, Tanqueray Ten and Cîroc Vodka.
On a beautiful summer’s evening in the heart of St James, we were pleased to welcome friends old and new in celebration of the transformation we have undergone over the last few months.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a glass of the finest Crémant de Limoux from our friends at Berry Bros. & Rudd, while Paxton & Whitfield tantalised the taste buds with a selection of their finest cheeses – including Stichelton, a traditional blue cheese made in Nottinghamshire and a nutty but sweet Aged Gouda – all displayed magnificently in a stunning cheese tower.
As the sparkling wine flowed as freely as the conversation, guests admired our beautiful new retail space complete with grand cabinetry, atmospheric lighting and our newly installed public archive detailing the company’s rich tailoring heritage and longstanding association with the British Royal Family.
Upon ascending the staircase – passing our feature wall adorned with images of our illustrious clientele – guests were treated to summer cocktails in the tailoring lounge, majestically created by the expert team from Dukes Hotel.
As we reflect with pure joy on what was a momentous occasion in the firm’s history, we only hope that you will visit number 9 Piccadilly Arcade to experience the refreshed and revitalised Benson & Clegg.
