A brushed gold surface gives this plain set a soft, matt glow rather than a high shine. The buttons are made in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, following methods that have changed little in generations, across more than a dozen stages. The large button is 2.0cm across and the small button 1.5cm. A single breasted set holds three large and eight small buttons, and a double breasted set six large and eight small. It suits navy and country cloth where polished gilt would feel too formal. Presented in a Benson & Clegg box, ready to give.
