In this colourway of Dorota Stumpf's Criterion Theatre design, the gilded ceiling rose and garlands of the Piccadilly Circus theatre sit on a rich aubergine ground, with a gold rolled edge. The Criterion, opened in 1874, keeps much of its Victorian interior, and the print captures its intimate, jewel-box character. It is printed on 100% silk and measures 40cm by 40cm. "The handkerchiefs are very nice quality; however the packaging was a poor reflection on the company. Sealed clear plastic sleeves and the postal packaging were very cheap. Other high end handkerchief providers go that bit extra that makes the product feel more special, especially when giving as a present."
