Guilloché is the art of engraving a fine, repeating pattern with a rose engine lathe; here the pattern is cut into a domed sterling silver face and sealed beneath translucent English vitreous enamel, so it shimmers through the colour as the light moves. In green, the result recalls racing livery and the English countryside.
Each pair is made by hand in England, hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office and finished with a Benson & Clegg whale tail fitting for easy fastening.
