Deep blue lapis lazuli offers a quieter alternative to black onyx, and a solid 18ct gold stitch on each stud brings out the warmth in the stone. Gold of 18 carats is 75% pure, so the stitch carries a fuller colour than lower carats. Against a white dress shirt the blue reads as rich rather than bold.
Each stud is made by hand in a Yorkshire workshop from sterling silver and 18ct gold, and hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office.
