Lapis lazuli has been prized for its deep, saturated blue since antiquity, and no two pieces are quite alike. Each oval face measures 19mm x 15mm, and the stone is gently domed rather than set flat, which draws out the depth of its blue. The stone is inlaid on both the front and back faces, so each link looks finished from either side, and a swivel fitting passes easily through a double cuff.
Each pair is made by hand in a Yorkshire workshop from sterling silver and hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office.
