Tartan weave takes the familiar basketweave pattern and gives it a bolder, more sculpted form, with deeply cut interlacing bands that create strong highlights and shadows across the face. The result is a rich, textured button with real presence in its gold plated finish. It suits navy blazers, tweed jackets and Highland-inspired tailoring, and works particularly well on heavier cloths through the autumn and winter. More than a dozen separate stages go into every button, from the first strike to the final finish. It is available in two sizes: large (2.0cm) for the front of a jacket and small (1.5cm) for the cuffs. It makes a handsome gift for those who appreciate traditional detail.
